Is a transmission filter change included in the Automatic Transmission Flush?

No, that's because most new Fords are equipped with a lifetime transmission filter so usually changing the transmission filter is not recommended. If you know you want your transmission filter changed in addition to having the fluid flushed, see one of our Service Advisors and we should be able to set something up.

Do I need an appointment for an Automatic Transmission Flush?

No appointment necessary. Just swing on into the Quick Lane at Midway Ford and our team will be happy to help. The Quick Lane does get busy sometimes though so you're always welcome to call ahead and set an appointment.

How long does it take to perform an Automatic Transmission Flush?

Performing the service usually takes about 1-2 hours. However, if we're busy, it may take some extra time to get your vehicle into the shop.

What brand of parts do you use for the Automatic Transmission Flush?

Generally we will use Ford/Motorcraft parts wherever possible. However, in the case of most fluids, we will use BG products. See bgprod.com for information on the special warranties that come with BG products.

Probably not. The Automatic Transmission Flush is a maintenance service designed to keep a working transmissions working. If your transmission is already already having issues, then we recommend setting an appointment with our Service Department for a Transmission Diagnosis and Repair .
